Premier Cru is so perceptive that he under a sadle in good and gentle hands can "become one with his rider" in movements "pas de deux". Whether it is dressage or jumping that he will be interested in, has everything to do with the communication with his new human. However we do not believe that endurance riding is anything that Premier Cru should specialise in; it would be too monotonous for him. But as one of many training forms, endurance riding will suit him very well. He wants variety, discovery, challenge and effort.

Pedigree and Achievements

Premier Cru´s sire Premier is the king of attitude and charisma! He is one of the most popular stallions in the European show-ring, known for his magnificent movements and fantastic performances, especially in his number one event, Liberty. His impressive merits includes 2000 British National Reserve Champion Stallion, 2001 UK International Reserve Champion Stallion, 3 x World Senior Top Ten Stallion, 2004 Winner of Mercedes Diamond Cup, Borgloon, Belgium, 2005 Blommeröd Scandinavian Open Champion and 2008 winner European Liberty Class. Premier has also shown his strenght by competing in 11 races (0-2-2-2-1) during 1997 while he was under training at the Warszaw race track. In 2001 he came third at the Novice Triathlon ECAHO Sport in Deurne, Holland.

Premier is son to the legendary Monogramm, the most influential stallion in Polish breeding for the last 15 years. Monogramm was leased by Michalow during the years 1993-1994 and has also been used by using frozen semen at the end of the 1990's. Among his progeny are some of the world's most successful horses: Ekstern (undefeated in the show-ringen with titles such as World, European, All Nations Cup and Polish National Champion, awarded the WAHO Challenge Trophy 2008), Kwestura (2007 World Champion, 1996 Polish National Champion, 2003 US National Mare Champion, 1999 All Nations Cup Champion, 2000 European Champion and 2009 Supreme Champion Mare of the Mediterranean & Arab Countries Championship in Menton, sold in 2008 for the record breaking sum of 1,125,000 Euro to Ajman Stud), Fallada (1996 & 1996 Jr Spring Show Champion Filly and Best in Show, World Res Champion, Summer Show Champion, Warsaw, Polish National Champion, Canadian National Champion), Zagrobla (1998 Int Champion Mare, Babolna, 2000 All Nations Cup Champion, 2000 & 2007 European Res Champion, 2000 World Champion Mare, 2003 US National Champion Mare). The greatness of Monogramm's sons and daughter's is now apparent through their progeny that continues to carry Monogramm's strengths, continuously reaching top placements in the show ring.

Monogramm is a son of Negatraz, bred by Patterson Arabians in the USA. Negatraz has been one of the US National Champion Bask´s best producing sons. Monogramm carries Russian blood through his dam Monogramma. She was born at Tersk in Russia and is by Knippel and out of the phenomenal mare Monopolia, who was by Priboj and out of Mammona, Tersk's most influential mare. Monogramma is also dam to the horses Meduza, Murmansk, Martinika, Mamluk och Malutka.

Premier's dam Premiera is a beautiful grey mare by the Polish race champion stallion Piechur. Piechur is the perfect example of the Arabian horse, where beauty and achievement is combined. He is the winner of Derby, Arabian Produce, the Criterium and 5 other significant Stakes (Kabaret, Czort, Witez II, Amurath and Sambor Stakes) and has also become UK International Champion, All Nations Cup Champion, and European Res Champion.

Premieras dam Premia is a tall daughter of Palas and Gwarny-daughter Pliszka. Premia became 1994 Polish National Champion Mare and Int Res Champion Mare, Babolna. Premiera herself became 1990 Polish National Junior Champion Mare and was sold in 2003 to Klarenbeek Arabians. In their possession she has become 2004 Int Champion Mare with the show's highest score (94,25) and Best In Show, Mooslargue, Frankrike; 2004, Res Champion Mare Elran Cup; 2004 Class Winner All Nations Cup and Class Winner European Championships.

This branch of the Gazella db-family was lost when Taraszcza (Enwer Bey-Gazella II) was confiscated by the Russians in 1939. Taraszcza was later a valuable mare at Tersk and mostly famous for being the dam to the stallion Negatiw. To retrieve this branch of the mare family the chestnut-mare Porfira (Priboj-Operetka), a granddaughter to Taraszcza, was imported to Michalow 1958 and lives on today mainly through Pliszka and her offspring.

Premier Cru´s maternal grandsire Alt further strengthens the breeding qualities in both show and racing. Alt's sire Pamir made a name for himself in racing, show and breeding. In 1988 this Probat-son became Race Horse of the Year after among other achievements also having won the Derby that same year. In 1989 and 1990 he became Reserve National Stallion Champion in Poland and then conquered the Champion title in 1993. In 1990 he became World Cup Champion Stallion, Stockholm. Pamir's off-spring has been successful in both racing and show. Batyskaf became 1994 Race Horse of the Year and 1996 Polish National Champion Stallion before he was sold for $ 450 000 to the Turkish National Stud. The Pamir-daughter Emilda has a substantial list of merits; 1992 Polish National Junior Champion Mare, 1999 European Champion Mare, 1999 All Nations Cup Reserve Champion Mare and 2000 British National Champion Mare. She was bought in 1998 by Shirley and Charlie Watts, Halsdon Arabians. Still in Poland are Emilda's two magnificent daughters by Monogramm, Embra and Emmona. Embra is currently on lease to One & Hennessey Arabians in the USA, who showed her to the title World Cup Res Champion Senior Mare. Pamir's dam Parma has been one of Janow Podlaskis most significant breeding mares. She left five high-class stallions: Partner, Parys, Pasat, Polonez and Pamir.

Alt's dam Alejka, became 1993 Polish National Champion Mare. She is one of the legendary Palas's most beautiful daughters and also the mother of Chief sire Album (by Europejczyk). Alejka's dam, Aleja, is by the legendary Bandos and she belongs to the strong mare family 214 Scherifa db, known for its athletic horses such as Algomej, Aloes, Algeria, Aleksja, Borexia och Probat.

Alt raced the race tracks as a three-year-old with 7 races (1xI, 1xII,2xIII,2xIV). He has also been successful in show with the title National Swedish Reserve Champion Stallion in 1995, 1996 and 1999 and Scandinavian All Open Reserve Champion Stallion in 1997, 1998 and 1999. His son Almir was sold to Brazil and became Brazilian National Champion Stallion in 2002 and his grandson Millennium (Almir-Tatarka) won the prestigeous race Nagrody Europy in Polen 2003.
